Exclusive Interview with TheBigDirty

Today, I got a exclusive interview with Kushmoney Poker Tour event #2 winner TheBigDirty.

1. Please introduce yourself to my readers.
Thanks for the props Deneil, happy to do the interview for your readers. My name is Alex. It is my middle name, and the cool character I choose as my poker alter ego when I started playing in back room social clubs as a teenager. We started playing every Monday night, a $2/$4 limit game. We would cash in for $50 & the house would match. Pay it back with tip when we cashed out, they loved us. I was hooked!

2. How long have you been playing poker online?
Online poker was introduced to me after college, I was a sales manager & witnessed online poker rooms bankrupt a coworker & destroy a friends marriage. Needless to say I wasn't a fan. But I loved to play live, & now, recently broke a 1000 games online.

3. What is your biggest challenge as a online poker player?
My biggest challenge is to not get sucked in. You face so many players from all over the world, so many different styles, so many anonymous opponents. Too much bluffing goes on online. You adjust, you learn, & you take advantage. Some days, I think the biggest challenge is simply not throwing my cordless mouse across the room.

4. What is your favorite online poker room?
I started with the big guys, UB & Party Poker. Place 2nd in a UB FR once, 3800 seats, 6 hours & all I got was a lousy golf shirt. Now I stick to Reefer Poker on the Merge Network. They offer a fun brand of poker & great emotions. I got bank everywhere though.

5. How many online poker rooms you play in?
I am loyal, but tend to be a bit of a free roll whore on weekends. I try to keep my money off the tables, unless it's live, with friends, or a great field.

6. What advise would you give a new online poker player?
Stay small, low limit ring games & inexpensive tournaments. Stick to your card chart, & observe the game; best way to learn.

7. What are your short, mind, and long term goals as a online poker player?
Where to start, short term is to get to the money in this months 50k guaranteed at Reefer Poker on May 31st. My entry only cost me $2 in a 5 seat SnG. Sure I be much happier to win 1st and take home a smooth 20k. But I am sure it'll be a respectable field. Mid term, I have been eyeing the MTT leader board at Merge for June, a seat in Niagra in from of friends & family! Long term, building a respectable bank at sites across the board. Nothing crazy but enough to jump into any major guaranteed event.

8. Do you plan on becoming a pro poker player?
Pro, meh, who knows. I got the balls for it & can play live, but I got some work to do before I would go that far. Hows, strong novice sound? I'm learning everyday! I pay the rent.

9. Do you make a full time income playing online poker?
Don't tell my mother but yes. Nothing spectacular, but it's working for me right now.

10. Any information you would like to add for our future online poker players?
Learn how to play good cards well before you learn the art of the bluff. And never bet and more than you can't afford to lose, laugh at, and learn.

Thanks again, hope to see you at the next KushMoney Poker Tour Event

Thank you Alex for taking the time to answer these questions.

If you want to become as good as Alex I recommend going to a poker school.

KPT Event #2 Results

Yesterday was the kushmoney poker tour event #2 and there wasn’t a lot of poker players that entered the event. The event was pretty cheap to get into. $2.25 buyin, and the event was held on reefer poker. I want to say thank you to this online poker room. You guys/gals rock. Like the first KPT event, this event only had 4 poker players.

I want to say thank you to the 4 poker players that entered the event.

  • AcctBreaker
  • TheBigDirty
  • jawashot69
  • lathersrule

Since it was only 4 poker players joined the tournament. The prize pool was only $8. First prize was $5.60 and second was $2.40.

These players took it very seriously and played their heart out. I watch every hand of this tournament. They also asked where I was, I was sitting here watching. The awesome thing about this event. AcctBreaker took the chip lead pretty early, and kept it that way for awhile. lathersrule kept trying to take the chip lead from AcctBreaker but just couldn't do it. Finlly, lathersrule got the chip lead over AcctBreaker. Slowly, TheBigDirty awesome poker skills kicks in and takes the chip lead but AcctBreaker takes the chip lead again. jawashot69 been sitting out the whole tournament finally gets knocked out by lathersrule. I guess jawashot69 forgot the KPT event was today. Then the very next hand, TheBigDirty goes all in against lathersrule. lathersrule gets knockedout  by 2 pair (A's, 3's). TheBigDirty then knocks out AcctBreaker for the win.

TheBigDirty won 1st place raking in $5.60
AcctBreaker won 2nd place raking in $2.40

Exclusive Interview with Owner of PokerBloggs.com

I am doing an interview with one of my poker affiliate coaches. Yes, even a coach has a coach. You have to learn from someone. I was really happy when he agreed to do the interview. If you are going to learn affiliate marketing, don't just stay with the affiliate networks. Their are better ways to build a passive income. Anyway, lets get into the interview with my poker affiliate coach George Haritos.

1. Please introduce yourself to my readers.
Hello, I'm George Haritos, the owner of Pokerbloggs.com, mypokertube.com, pokeraffiliates.org.uk. My sites have been featured on G4 TV and I have done consulting for for major companies and affiliates.

2. How long you been a poker affiliate?
I've been a poker affiliate since 2004

3. What is your biggest challenge as a poker affiliate?
My biggest challenge as a poker affiliate has been to overcome rooms closing down, dealing with people in forums, and scammers. Another challenge I faced was actually focusing on getting conversions as opposed to buying and selling domains. Lately the domain market has been bad and I have gone to strictly getting signups for Full Tilt.

4. What is the most important thing you have learn about poker affiliate marketing and how has it impacted your success today?
If I were to do things differently, I would have let anyone in forums know what I'm doing. Other affiliates rip off your ideas within a week if you post anything. However, I do not agree with people who post in forums who don't use signatures. I lose trust in them. Also, never share your techniques with others, I learned that from Shoemoney. He never clues anyone intgo what hes doing until the fad is over.

And when you describe me as an affiliate, I'm not your typical "affiliate". I;m more of a developer / domainer. But lately I've quit expanding my domain empire and going for conversions.

5. What is your favorite method of generating traffic and why?
Articles. Articles are the cheapest and best way to generate traffic.

6. What’s your most effective method of generating traffic?
I can't really share this, because it would have negative effect on my traffic. I'd say ditto to question 5.

7. What are your short, mind, and long term goals as a poker affiliate?
My short term goal is to streamline my domain portfolio. My long term goal is to ride out this depression the economy is in or about to be in.

8. If you could give one piece of advice to new poker affiliates that are starting out what would it be?
Write your own articles if you can. Save money because times are bad. Content is king and so is keeping a low overhead.

9. What top tip would you give to current poker affiliates?
Use MXhub.com for hosting. Joseph is the best admin in the business.

10. Any information you would like to add for our future poker affiliates?
If you are looking what other sites are doing and copy that, you will always be one step behind. See what they are doing and add a new twist. Always take it to the next level.

I would also advise to stay away from small rooms.

Don't forget about signing sub affiliates. Then once you get players and sub affiliates, nurture them.

Thank you George for taking the time to answer these questions.

KushMoney Poker Tour Event #1

Today is the first event of kushmoney poker tour. I took sometime to really think which poker room I wanted to host the first KPT event. First I contacted pitbull poker to host the first 4 events of KPT. They never got back to me. I was then contacted by a person that promotes reeferpoker. (Not an affiliate) I then signed up to reefer poker affiliate program to make sure this will help me get the events on their poker room.

We have agreed to have the first 4 KPT events on reefer poker. I hope all goes well. The more players wanting to get into the kushmoney poker tour events, will help me change it all around from me contacting poker rooms to host the events to the poker rooms contacting me to host an KPT event.

Now to get on what you are looking for out of this post. There are no passwords for the first 4 events. Buy-in is $2, entry fee is $0.25 and the maximum amount of players is 1,500.

How to enter KPT event #1?
First sign up to Reefer Poker
Make your first deposit. 100% match up to $420
Go to "tournaments" click on the "private" tab and scroll down to Kushmoney Poker Tour Event #1

I thought about joining my own events but I know some people would get mad if I hosted a poker tournament and won 1st place. People may say its fixed or something. So I will stay out of all KPT events.

I have done great things for this online poker tour so far.
1) Made an official Kushmoney Poker Tour page.
2) Made an official KPT event page in the Kushmoney forum.
3) Made an official Kushmoney Poker Tour on facebook.
5) Last but not least, I made a little buzz about KPT on twitter.

Remember, if you win first 1st place. I will gladly interview you. If you are a great poker player looking to get on a pro team this maybe your chance to get notice. If you a blogger, I am sure a interview on kushmoney will bring traffic to your blog. Also, if the first place winner doesn't contact me for the interview I will gladly interview anybody that placed in a cash position.

Poker Training Weekly Launch Today!

Poker Training Weekly

Poker Training Weekly

Yes, its finally here. Learn to play poker like a pro. This program is a 52 week/12 month program. You get a new video lesson via email weekly. Unlike other programs that give you all the information at once and you don't learn anything. This program gives you a bite size at a time. You will be able to learn it and retain it. Besides learning how to play poker for a living, their is a bonus for those that complete the 12 month program. You will be sent the email address to request your Certificate Of Complete. You will be a certified poker expert of Texas hold'em. The only problem I see with this program is, there is only 1,000 slots available and its going to fill up fast. Its not fair to those that hear about this a week after the launch. (If that's you, you will have to get on their waiting list) Lucky, you got bloggers like me that find out about awesome programs ahead of time and had this post really for the launch day.

The new breakthrough in poker training technology was created by 3 poker experts. These three pro poker players have years of experience. I got the details on all three of these poker pros.

Patrick is a Las Vegas professional. He has extensive, successful experience as a live player as well as online. He is a poker consultant for some of the best players in the game today.

Joseph is based out of the UK and is also an expert in poker skills, techniques, and strategies. He has several years of both online and live poker success. He's written over 500 published articles(Talk about a lot of articles) for the poker industry.

Phillip D. is an online poker pro who has been playing online poker for several years. He owns several poker training sites including, www.texas-holdem-secrets-exposed.com, www.startinghandsystem.com, www.texas-holdem-videos.com among many others. He is a short-handed (6 person) sit-n-go expert and makes $300 - $1,200 a day playing these games. (Long time before I reach that) He has trained over 1,500 players in the skills, strategies, and systems to be successful at short-handed sit n' go.

They also had Las Vegas pro poker players test all the systems at the casino tables, give feedback, and contribute skills, strategies, and techniques.

This makes me want to stop blogging and just play poker full time. As much as I want to become a pro poker player. I prefer to help others make money online. It makes me feel like I help change the world. (Silly I know, but that's how it makes me feel)
