This has been a long time coming. The more traffic this blog gets, the more I can charge for ad slots. This means a bigger commission for all my affiliates. I think its great to make money with others. I am running a contest for the month a June. Which is starting to really bring in traffic, readers, and networking with other bloggers. I am also learning how to promote offline. I have placed the url on the car and my dads track. I talk to one of my family members about shouting out my url on the radio. She always winning stuff from the radio stations. They know her by her first name. Now I got to wait until she can get through, since so many people call the station at all times. (Grrr!)

For July, besides the offline promotion. I will be using entrecard credits as much as I can to buy advertisement on other blogs. I’ve started making a list of blogs that accept entrecard credits as payment for advertisement. I make over 450 ec credits per day from drops. So its easy for me to make 12,000 ec credits a month. Good blogs are charging 500 - 900 ec credits a week to advertise on their blogs. I just ask them how much for a month. They drop the price a little bit. My list of blogs to advertise on will grow. I have been thinking about advertisement slots on KushMoney. I offer 4 slots in the “June Competition” it would make sense to sell the other slots. I have contacted many advertisers, did some research on other blogs, and I found out I am charging to much for my advertisement slots.

I thought $25 a month was a nice price. Until I seen a blog with a little more traffic than KushMoney selling advertisement slots for $5 a month. The blog sold all their slots so the blogger added 2 new slots and raise rates to $10 a month.

I realize I should have applied my “report/eBook” to my ad slots. So I have dropped my prices from $25 a month for an advertisement slot. Down to $5 a month, and once all slots are sold out I will raise rates.

Today I am going to talk about which is better for small blogs when it comes to advertisement. Should a blogger have an “your ad here” or his/her own advertisement in place until advertisers buy an ad slot. I want to clear it up and help other small blogs.

I seen many small blogs with 125×125 ad slots with these type of ads. Many think that this is the right way to do things. Some do it because they don’t want to place their own ads on their blog. This can work in some cases and in others you are hurting your blog because no advertiser wants to be the first to advertise.

My way to help other small blogs. I like to network with others and see how we can help each other grow our blogs. No matter if we are blogging about the same niche or not. Look more professional, keep advertisement on your blog with advertisers or not. Place this banner in your ad slot until you find an advertiser to replace it.

Any bloggers that would like to network or just have a free ad slot open place my banner on your blog.
