Build A Blog!
I will be going over step by step how to build a blog. You will learn how easy it is to make a blog from a very little money and time. I will be going over the following, getting a domain, web hosting, installing your blog, web design, buying/making content, matching the right ad networks or affiliate programs, and promotion. Don’t worry you won’t have to go looking for nothing. I have it all here.
Step 1: Domain
A domain is your blogs name. You will want to pick something easy to remember. A name that you can build a brand around. When buying your domain make sure you get a “.com” domain. Very important for promotion. Here’s a list of domain registrars.
Step 2: Web Hosting
This is very important that you good with the right web host. You don’t want your blog to be slow when loading. But don’t stress yourself over this. I got promo codes to get you web hosting for low as $0.01 for the first month. Here’s a list of web hosts.
Step 3: Installing Wordpress Software
Don’t worry about this either. Once you log into your “cpanel” go to “Fantastico” and then click on “wordpress” its a 1, 2, 3, kind of thing from there.
Step 4: Web design
You can do this 2 ways. You can google “free wordpress themes” and find free themes but remember you will run across another blog that looks just like yours. Or you can buy a custom wordpress theme just for you blog. Also you will need to get 2 banners done for promotion. (125×125 banner & 468×60 banner) Here’s a list of web designers.
Step 5: Content
Content is really important. If you plan on having the blog for a long time you may want to make it all from your thoughts. If you plan on selling it quick to make a nice profit. You should think about hiring article writers. Here’s a list of forums to find an article writer.
Step 6: Money
If you going to make money from your blog, you going to need to join an ad network or affiliate program. First you find out what your niche is and which ad network or affiliate program match your blog best. Remember you don’t have to pick just one. Here’s a list of ad networks & affiliate programs.
Step 7: Promotion
This is the real hard part of it all. Promotion can be hard for a new blogger, trying to find out what works best. The truth is it all works. It just depends on if you work hard or just sit there wishing you had traffic. You will need to do a lot of SEO work and promotion. I made a list of ways to do free promotion & SEO.
